The Adirondack Mountains are home to some of the best ice climbing in the United States. Each year the park attracts ice climbers from all over the world.

Our professional guides will teach you, and your party, everything from the basics of tool placement and crampon footwork, to advanced techniques for steep ice and mutli-pitch climbing. All courses include professional guided instruction, equipment rentals, and scenic views! A required (basic) equipment list is available and may be printed from our web site.

Conditions may be variable due to weather and visitor popularity. Safety is our paramount priority, all guides hold NYS licenses and have wilderness first aid training.

Snowshoe adventures and winter Hiking

Climb one of the 46 High Peaks of the Adirondacks, explore a fire tower mountain, bushwhack a seldom explored peak to hidden views, or take a scenic stroll; whatever adventure is best suited to your interests and ability! We can even do a night tour by headlamp, with a bonfire and s'mores.

You can also combine your snowshoeing adventure with a winter mountaineering and camping course and enjoy a multi-sport winter backcountry experience.

Perfect for families!

Fat Biking (Winter Mountain Biking)

Winter doesn’t have to mean the end of mountain bike season. For all those who long for their bikes when the snow covers the trails, there is fat biking.

It’s just like mountain biking on dirt but way cooler! We are the only winter mountain bike guide service in the high peaks region. You will be equipped with top of the line fat bikes from Salsa, and our guides will share their passion for riding, and local knowledge with you.

Fat biking is fun, accessible, and easy on the body - perfect for those looking for a low impact sport.

Most importantly, it is an excellent family adventure!

Skiing

The Adirondack Park is full of back country skiing opportunities for those who know where to look. If you are tiered of the crowds at the resort and eager to hunt for your own lines down the mountain, then a guided back country ski experience is for you. With everything from local trails around town to the backcountry terrain of the High Peaks, we can design a trip that meets with your parties needs.

We offer three disciplines of backcountry skiing: Nordic, Alpine Touring, and Telemark Touring.
